Was wondering if anyone knows of a wiper motor that will bolt up to original location on 69 camaro with big block tall valve covers. My original motor will not clear valve covers and don't want to spend $400 + dollars to buy a DSE wiper motor.

Re: 69 camaro wiper motor

Yes indeed. I have one here, works real good.

Member Matt Klemp is doing and selling converted S10 motors, there is quite a bit to it, internal mods to the electrical connections to make it turn backwards.

There is at least one searchable thread in electrical on the, search for wiper motor, threads started by me.

I have one from a S-10 it bolts up, but is electrically different, so I installed the later model column switch. If you want P.M Me and I can send you directions on how to convert this to use the '69 switch.

My original style wiper motor fits just fine......with 2 different style aftermarket tall valve covers. First pic is with "Heartbeat of America" style valve covers purchased from Classic Industries. Engine is setting on Small Block engine frame mounts. Wiper motor fit just fine................

These pics are with new style tall "fabricated" aluminum valve covers. Engine is now on correct type Big Block engine frame mounts. Still able to use original style wiper motor...

I know I just saw an aftermarket one that is a direct two speed bolt-in that was a lot cheaper than the seven speed DSE unit. Cannot remember where though. If it's this bad at 33, I'm going to have to be put out to pasture at 40.
