what is fair market value to pay for a 69 camaro coupe, 40k one owner miles, completely original including paint and very well preserved, fathom green with green standard interior, fully documented including window sticker in the glovebox, ps, pb, a/c, 350 with auto trans on column, Z21 stripe package, factory am/fm, tilt wheel, factory rally wheels, very original car that still has its original brakes even and as mentioned car is a very clean unmolested car that has just few very minor nicks but is very nice for 43 years old and claims to have never been in any weather. Please let me know your opinion as I normally do not pay attention to survivor type cars and i realize they are getting harder to find especially one owners. thanks in advance.

Re: 1969 survivor camaro/what's it worth?

Thanks for the replies so far and I will try and get a few pictures of it but I must be off in my thinking as this car is truly a nice clean car thats original paint is still very nice, and interior, glass and chrome are in mint condition, nothing has ever been changed but its waterpump, batteries, belt and hoses and car has been carefully cared for and maintained by its now elderly owner, motor compartment is clean and original with its PTB firewall stamp boldly in place and basically this car is almost like looking at a brand new camaro back in 69 and it does shows some very minor age in a few places but overall it is a excellent car. It has one small "door ding" above the door handle that owner says was done on the transport the day he picked it up back in 69 and it has small mud flaps he applied using the original wheel opening moldings also done at the dealership that day. He was so meticulous in the fact that it has never been driven in any kind of rain or snow and took his wife to work as to not let her drive the car. I have looked at a few local 67-69's that were just decent condition somewhat original camaros that have sold for 15-18k that do not even compare to this cars condition, options or survivor status and you might look at ebay item# 290593245454 that sold recently to maybe get a better idea as this car I am speaking of I think belongs in a collection or a Chevrolet showroom floor for display and the ebay car mentioned is not even close to the condition or as well optioned as this green car. Sorry to write a novel here but i will try and get some pictures although it might take a few days so I would still appreciate your opinions. Thanks!

Agreement in the 20's somewhere depending on motor, I did not see that info.
If it has original shocks and all that and papers documenting the mileage
that is a keeper.

Not sure why 7-9K was thrown out there. Survivors are the best thing going.

Wow that ebay car for 16K looks like it has 135K not 35K miles. Not much of a survivor once your done fixing that one.

Charley is probably the most in touch with what it is worth.

My estimate is low, on purpose, because you can always go up. Much harder to go down in price.

Get pics of the underside of the car too.

What receipts are available for oil changes, etc. to help prove the mileage?

Thanks for the replies so far and mileage can be verified as owner is still alive and other paperwork and believe me if you could see where this car is kept in a two car garage and what little he would get it out he would drive it thru the grass and around the side of his house. I was able to drive it and it drives like 40k original miles. All weatherstrip is still soft and like brand new and it has the absolute nicest trunk inside that i have ever seen. I will try and get a couple of pictures of it later maybe even today. thanks again

No, I am just no expert. I thought higher originally, but a non-hipo in this market seemed like a yawner. I am glad I am not the seller. :)

Just curious...anyone here that will give the lady $25K now? It would be interesting to run through BJ to see.

I've been offered that for mine Gary and its a 307. It sounds as though he found a gem.
sprtpilot, if there are receipts for service since new you can easily document the mileage as original and usually at 40K miles, a car guy can tell.
I had a 68 Z in the 90's with 62K and it felt like a new car but not a shred of paper.

Looks like the pictures worked after all so let me know what you think. Car had steering wheel cover and splash flaps added the day it was new he claims and waterpump and hoses were changed years ago as was the original dual exhaust but correct type put back in place of it, 350/250 horse with ps, pb, a/c, factory am/fm with speakers and factory speakers in kick panels and package tray, dash clock, tilt wheel, remote mirror, original rally wheels, all options documented with the window sticker along with protecto plate and original dealer invoice. Paint is excellent and has just a very few minor door chips but for original I think it is pretty amazing and the window felt and all weatherstrips are still soft and like new, still has both working T3 headlights and has the original dealer name still on trunk lid. Thanks for all of your posts so far.

Beautiful car and certainly worth $30k (if the AC still blows cold) to THE RIGHT BUYER. I really like the car, but I just would not be the "Right Buyer", so it's "buyer appeal" is still subject to whatever else is out there. If you buy it, would you keep it or flip it and buy something else, maybe something you would "DRIVE"?

Don't think the master cylinder is original.

Master cyl looks like a power drum setup. If so, that is what the masters look like. Wheels look like 14x6, so that is correct. Nice options, A/C, tilt wheel, center clock, Z-21, its just too bad about the green interior, but it looks very original, which is amazing!

Very nice Camaro! Evertything looks very good, but the kick panel speakers are puzzling me. They only came on 8-track cars, but I do not see an 8 track under the dash?
