What do you guys think? The small-block heater core makes me suspect something, but the seam sealer on the tag looks like it has been there a while. Font looks a little 'pronounced' to me, too...the original tags seem to have more muted, wider characters. What say you guys?

No way that's a 396 SS...no BB hardware to back it up. The 10A build date on the trim tag, however, falls in line with the 692xxx VIN...hmmm:wacko:

Here's my X66 tag for you to compare it to. I'm by no means an expert, but I don't like it...

I agree with the fake and they did not even get the build month and week right....I am no number guru but my 9E vin starts 693xxx 10A should not start with the 692xxx vin seen in one of the auction pics..

Trojan free link to the ebay auction is....
Brian what is the story with the tinyurl links? I've noticed on many occasions when using an iPad that the new window briefly opens and then closes itself down, obviously doesn't like something about the redirect process.

They force you through their servers in route to the final destination, data mining your information in route. Some services also track your browsing into and out of their site.
This may include a list of the cookies you have so browsing trends can be collected about you and sold to advertising folks to pinpoint market your address.

Depending on your firewall settings and or spyware/malware software you will receive a warning or in my case get blocked.
When I'm blocked I can see the final destination url so I just cut and paste that from the warning and go direct.

Remember there is ALWAYS a cost extracted for use of a "free" service. :)

In general here you should post clear clean links direct to an site, unless the url is three thousand characters and you have to type it in, why risk your privacy by using tiny or other url shorteners.
They were designed for twitter with its lexicon damaging 140 character limit. :)

Well just be aware bitly also tracks your surfing and leaves a cookie behind.

Again unless you are posting a link to twitter there is absolutely no need to shorten any url you want to post using a service.
Just copy and paste it and be done.

Here at TC our publishing code will try to set the link description to the meta tag encoded information description of the site you linked to. So the long url is displayed as its described tag such as "Green Widgets - Widgets dot com" or "Front Fender Emblem - Classic Industries"
