I was just wondering if you think a 20x10" wheel with 5.5" of backspacing will fit the rear of my 67 without using minitubs...i was going to get 18s in the rear and 17"s in the front, thanks for your time.

what r the backspacings on the yello camaro in the rear? I am looking to have a custom pair of 10" steel ralleys made and I am fighting the backspacing. I would love to have a 10" wheel with 5.5" Backspacing and roll the fender lips under. I need a big tire as I am spraying 900hp Of Nitrous Express to a very stout smallblock. Need to run 8.60's on ET Streets in the 1/4 Mile. The tires are MT et street 30 x 12.50's. Yes they will fit as I have seen them on a car at the track before but couldn't find the owner to get permission to measure backspacing on them.

Thankx

Mike

67's and 68's are very close if not the same with a few exceptions... your wheel arch front to back is only 28.5-29", and max width from inner wheel wellto lip is 11",Rolling the lip will get you an extra 1-1.5". How would a 30" tall by 12.5" tire fit without mods ? Not to mention tire growth. I could be wrong...but Good luck.

If you get it to fit, post a pic and tell of any mods.

Those 20x10's only had 4" of backspacing, they weren't purchased for the car, so they didn't fit the best. They stuck out to far.

The section width of the tire was just barely wider then the wheel itself. So there was no tire 'buldge', like there will be with your type of tire. So I wouldn't really know what to suggest, but I think 5.5" of bs maybe to much. 5" maybe a safer choice.
