I don't know. I have heard of problems, but it's like everything else. Sometimes you have problems, sometimes you don't. I haven't had any problems and mine work great. I had mine re-sleeved in stainless so they shouldn't get sticky from non-use. It's not like the ABS on the M3 I had, but pretty good for the time it was made in.

Four piston calipers work well, but the design has the seals mounted in a groove on the piston and they seal against the cast iron bore walls. Newer brakes have the seal in a groove in the bore, and they seal against a hard chromed piston, which is more resistant to corrosion.

In the GM design, the bore can corrode as the pads wear, when new pads are installed, the piston is shoved back, into the corroded area and the seal can leak. Stainless sleeves are a good idea, if not, keep the fluid as fresh and moisture free as possible. You need to use the special rotors for 67/8, that have a reduced hub size to clear the caliper.

A step up is the JL8 setup, which is similar but uses a larger thicker rotor but similar design caliper, just wider and slightly outer mounting to accept the thicker rotor.

I'm converting to LS1 brakes after acquiring and rebuilding all the correct 4 piston stuff for my Firebird (much harder to find than the Camaro stuff). The reason is that I don't have faith in the SS sleeved calipers. Besides what David mentioned, the tolerances between the piston and bore are relatively large by today's standards which allows the piston to wobble, thus breaking the seal and allowing air in. I had one caliper take dump because the seals shrunk before I got the car finished. Now after 500 miles it has an ever so slight pull to the right developing. The repro stuff may have overcome these problems.

VB&P has their own oring style seals for the 4pots to replace the cup seals. Corvette used those style 4pots until the early 80s. That ebay sale looks like rear corvette/jl8 calipers (easily obtainable).
If they sit for long periods they will leak. If the rotors have over .002" runout they will leak. The new seals are supposed to help with both problems. I've put them on a few Corvettes.

VB&P used to sell Camaro/Firebird stuff in their catalog but now they only advertise Corvette stuff. If you talk to them they can probably do the camaro calipers still, and maybe the firebird calipers.
