Cars from Tenn. Tim L Found it and I believe sold it to Kevin Suydam.Motion put the motor in the car in 1974.Car was bought new from a Chevrolet Dealership in Tenn. The car was White in the 1974 Motion Article and letter up.Joel never put the Phase III stripe on it or painted it orange. That was done after it was found and then restored. It looks much better with the orange and Phase III black stripe though.I believe car has changed has 3 or 4 times since found and now in NJ.

Thanks Dan; am fascinated that the car has (apparently) only done 739 miles, especially as it was already 5 years old when it had the Motion upgrades in '74.....

I looked at the pic, and it appears that copper tubing was used on part of the fuel system. Was copper tubing actually used?

That car was a Z/28 when new and Dragraced early in its life with the 302.I don't think it saw the road maybe in the very begining when it was new then the rest was 1/4 miles. He stepped it up big time going MOTION 427 in 1974.Cars cool though.Nice dragcar from back in the day .I used copper for Sun 2 5/8 Chrome Cup Fuel Pressure guages I mounted outside on the cowel panel. That was 1975/1976/1977. I don't remember 3/8 or 1/2 Copper fuel lines but they could of.They had the Stainless HI Pressure lines and fittings back then.

That was not uncommon. In the mid/late 70s dad and I raced a 67 Camaro. We made our own "cool can" with copper tubing and a can (seems like it was a Folgers coffee can but I can't remember for sure). In our case the copper was only in the portion from where the line exited the stock fuel pump up to the chrome outlet on the 850 cfm Holley double pumper.

I do remember the cool cans with the copper tubing.
