I am to the point of installing my harmonic balancer on my 68 camaro, the engine is a late 67 396, but I believe that the answer to the question I am asking will be the same. How far does the balancer go on, does the indent in the balancer go flush with the front of the driveshaft, or does it stick out some. I am using an ATI super damper, but the dimension of the collar is exactly the same as the stock damper, so I believe it would be the same as a stock damper. I tried to install the new damper once, but it only went on a little ways, then I read the directions and it said that the ATI damper would probably have to be honed, so I took it to my local machine shop and had that done to match the driveshaft and the ATI specs, so now it is ready to go on, thanks for your help in advance, Mike.

I dunno, do you have the original to measure from ? Probably a mark or paint line where it use to be ? Definitely need the pulleys to line up...
