Hi. I recently purchased a 67 RS camaro on ebay. If your interested in seeing it, here is the link.

my question is this: Ive removed the husrt ratchet shifter, and the factory one re-installed. My problem is that when the prior owner put the ratchet shifter in, to make it fit, he cut away the mounting bolt holes for the 2 peice shiter plate cover. It looks as if the center cover holder can be removed and a new one installed. But every where Ive looked, the only thing for sale is the 2 peice shifter cover, or the enitre console. Does any one know where I can get the mounting plate for the 2 peice cover? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I believe that piece is the 2 piece part of the console itself, correct? Or is it the trim halves that cover the boot? Those pieces should be available from Classic Industries or just about any Camaro retailer. If you provide a picture, I am sure we would be better able to guide you in the right direction. Nice car though. Did you get the A.I.R system and cast iron manifolds with the car?

The mounting plate as you call it is the pot metal frame that goes around the console. I do not think that you will be able to get one without buying the console. You may want to try and make a new mounting piece and attach it to the frame with some of the after market cement or weld it to the frame. Good luck Jerry

Ocala67RS is correct. I don't believe that you will find what you are looking for because it is originally one piece. The other option is to find a cheap console on ebay or somewhere else and use the part that you need. You might be able to sell the rest. I'd go this route if you are trying to keep the car looking original.
