Halfway decent looking resto (panel fit doesn't look great, and the front stripe is a head scratcher) and seller claims the motor is the original. I think this is a gorgeous color combination, and it's a stick. Nevertheless...unless it's a perfect car (and this one isn't), the buy-it-now still feels about $8-12k too high to me...obviously it would be a different story if it were a #s 396. What do you guys think?

What happened to the trim tag rivets? Looks like trim tag is glued on with no rivets... Front hood is out of line in more ways than one. Agree the oddball front stripe, white would be better.

I'm not exactly sure why, but more often than not the factory rivets ended up being hollow as on this car and that's why putty was applied to keep engine bay fumes out of cowl intake. They're not always hollow though, as you know. Maybe someone can explain why ? I did find this thread....http://www.camaros.net/forums/showthread.php?t=92459&highlight=hollow

Yeah, terrible door gaps and panel alignment. Probably an M20 as M21 wasn't available with SS350.

I'd say 25'ish as it sets.

Seller quote "ORIGINAL CALI CAR STORED IN SHIPPING CONTAINER FOR OVER 40 YEARS BEAUTIFUL BODY OFF FRAME RESTORATION"

My question is if was stored 40 years in a container, why would it need a frame off restoration? And whats with the paint over spray on the under side? seems to me more that just the hood has alignment issues as well.

It's a nice car, but a 40k price tag seems about 10k to high to me.

And whats with the paint over spray on the under side?
Overspray on floor pans is normal from the factory.

Many details are incorrect but a good number of buyers do not know what is right anyway. Hard tape line for firewall blackout is a pet peeve of mine and Hardly anyone does it properly.

Clean it up and fix what is wrong and this thing could get the BIN and end up in a container going overseas. Lot of cars going there. Price is high as it sits.

Agree - perfect example of a bodyman painting the car who knows next to nothing about first gen Camaros. First of all, darker colors like RP almost always got the contrasting white for accent stripes, and never flat or semi-gloss black.

... and it has 69 exhaust extensions...
