Forgive me if this is a repost, I have searched but couldnt find the answer unless my search skills are lacking :D

I just picked up a 67 rs, most of the restoration was done but of course the headlight doors dont work. Im good with Mechanical but horrible at wiring.

Ive seen some kits online that claim a 2 wire hookup but what I cant find is do they work just like factory once installed, I get the impression from some of my readings that they dont.

Anyone know of a all inclusive kit that works just like factory?

Thanks for any help or advise you can provide

I suppose that depends on how you define "just like factory"

Thos kits use late model motors and electronics. The 2 wire hookup is one to battery, and one to the low beam headlight wire. And of course a ground.

When the headlight come on, it activates the electronics and turns on the motor. The circuit board senses when the motor stalls and turns it off. When the headlight turns off, the motor is turned on in reverse. doors close motor stalls electronics kill the power.

Only complaint I've heard is some work too fast, slam the doors.

Thanks!! seems like I can handle that. By like factory I meant operation by just the headlight switch, I didnt know if you had to change switches to a non RS or if the doors were set up on different switch. the one kit said it had a remote?? not sure why you would need that.

Im tempted to attempt to make these work, the car has an all new harness in it, im just electrically challenged..lol
