67 RS headlight problem

Hello,
I am restoring a 67 RS. This is a full restoration including nuts and bolts. All parts and harnesses are new. The problem I am having is the doors open fine but when I turn the lights off only the driver side closes. If I slightly move the passenger side it will then close. The passenger side wasn't hitting the limit switch so the motor would run until I put pressure on it to trigger the switch. If I turn on the lights they open and if I turn them back off right away so I don't damage the motor they both shut. It's only when the passenger side pushes the limit switch it won't shut. Could this be a bad limit switch?? Doesn't make sense to me. I need a little help as I can't think anymore. Probably something simple I am not thinking of. I won't be working on the car again until Saturday. Gotta work to play. Thanks everyone for taking the time to read my post!

If I have someone else turn the lights on and I press the limit switch on the radiator support it obviously stops. So when they turn the lights off I continue to hold and after I release it, it still won't close unless I give it a nudge. The nut on the long bolt for the pivot arm was torqued per AIM specs. The grounds on all 4 limit switches are on the bottom terminal.

Oops, I made a mistake the limit switch that has the bad ground is the passenger side attached to the firewall not the headlamp assembly.

When the door opens and presses the button on this limit switch that will stop the motor from running and it will also provide the ground for the motor when the door is initially closing. After the door starts closing the button on the switch will no longer be pressed in and the motor now gets it ground through the dark blue wire that is also connected to the limit switch. It is that initial ground connection that is not working. The reason you can close the door by nudging it is because you are mechanically operating the limit switch and changing the ground from the black wire to the dark blue wire.

Don't forget that the black wire on the limit switch needs to be grounded all the way back to the batteries ground. If you recently painted some parts then it could be that this paint is preventing a good connection to the metal.
