Getting ready to buy interior door panels and seat covers. Car is rally green. Looking at either deluxe parchment or parchment houndstooth. What would look the best. Car originally was black standard. Not a numbers matching car so originality not a concern.

I really like the deluxe parchment houndstooth in a 68. It will show more dirt than black would but I agree that the cooler color is a worthy tradeoff for some extra occasional cleaning.
My 68 is an original black deluxe houndstooth (upgraded with TMI sport foam and covers) and several times I have found myself in very hot weather (no AC) wishing for parchment (white) seats and door panels.... the houndstooth fabric really helps keep things cooler.

Car has ac. Black is really a no go for me. Today it is 115 can't imagine sitting on black vinyl seats after being in the sun for more than a few minutes with ac off and and windows rolled up. Just a weekend car no daily driver. Just curious how does the houndstooth wear and does it stay clean and not turn gray or dirty looking.

My car still has the original black deluxe hounds tooth and it has held up well for 57 years and 85k miles. I'm just careful to protect the material with a cover when climbing in-out while working on it.
