changing out the rear end of a 69 camero, removing a limited slip to a real positraction,
drive shaft out,u-bolts cut, bottom bracket removed. brake lines remove and all, rear dif wont move from the top sring

lift it up or may be stuck on the bushings.pry it up.

Spring perch is probably just wrapped around springs. Do like Bill says and see if you can get under perch and pry up. Sounds like you have everything off that should be.

So the shock plates are off and all connections are severed. Put a floor jack under the pumpkin and start jacking the rear up. First the springs will come up with the rearend a bit but then the 2 will seperate. Exercize caution because the rear will be wanting to shift off the jack because of the pinion section throwing it off balance.

This assumes the car is supported by stands already...
