After posting some questions in the body forum, I was encouraged to start a build thread. Here we go!
Here is my unmolested original 69 SS.

I'm North of you guys. (Chesterfield)Thanks guys! Dom, I see you're in Monroe; I'm down in Ida. Good to see some local guys on the site!
I've been able to do small stuff here and there. Just got a puppy a few weeks ago and its hard to spend quality time on the car. I ab rebuilding the heater box right now. Sandblasted and painted it, just need to reassemble it. Definitely interested in the rotisserie, let me know. ThanksThanks Dave. Have you been able to make any more progress on yours? I'll probably sell the rotisserie for what I have into it when I'm done since I have no where to store it. You're not too far from me.....:wink2:
Where you going for powder coat? I took my stuff to a place on 15 Mile near Harper.Got it all apart. One group ready to go to be powder coated. The other ready do be media blasted to get ready for epoxy primer.
Careful not to break the tab that holds the front plate on. Also the levers without the knobs are sharp. Don't ask me how I know these two things. - DaveFinally an update.
I also found a broken lever in the controls which I need to replace. Thankfully that's a common problem and parts are on the way.
Get in line! There is another here in Michigan to work on. (...and it's BLUE) :grin2:Looks awesome ! When you finish feel free to head to ohio and work on mine - You could do comparison photos:smile2: Is your firewall Gloss Black?
I'll help out with the farm stuff if you want to work on my 69 :grin2::grin2: My wife and I enjoyed your comments Brett. Although I don't know about unrivaled documentation, I think Patrick has me beat.
Many people including my mom have wondered what I'll do with all my time when it's done. Don't worry I'll be busy! There's plenty on the farm that needs to be done; I need to replace eves troughs and take down some trees. There's an old man-made ditch between 2 fields that needs to be filled in. I also want to build an actual shop with heated concrete floor and a lift. I'm an addict so it won't be long and I'll have a 57 Chevy hardtop to build since I've always wanted one. And a '58 or '59 pickup. And a '70 Chevelle. And a '66 GTO. And a '78 Firebird. And a '49 Cadillac. And a '56 Olds. And and and lol.
I'm really looking forward to driving the Camaro and taking it to cruises and shows across the country.
