It was early February 1969 when I recall standing in the backdoor of my parents home in Henrietta, NY looking outside the garage when my oldest brother drove his new car up the driveway. I remember hearing it just before seeing the car. It was a red & black strip Camaro Z/28 and as 5-year-old boy that car looked amazing! Well, fast forward 45 years later and my brothers retired and I’m looking at my 50th birthday this year. I also recall my brother leaving a 69 Roadrunner with a 6 pack in the dust going up Methodist hill, which was a memorable experience with the Jesus handle. My brothers drove the car sparingly in the 70’s. Anyway, the car still belongs to my oldest brother, he still has the protecto plate and the Z has about 28k original miles. My brother has thought about selling the Z to me for years as I’ve considered buying the car to keep it in the family. Here’s my question…..
How much does the value of these muscle cars increase when they have documented, original family ownership back to the date of purchase?
