Hey guys I own a 87 Camaro.
I recently was gifted a torsen zexel 3.42 Gear posi unit that came out of a 1999 Camaro.

Also it came With 28 spline axels from the 99 Camaro.

My question is Can I Swap the 4th gen rear end internals into the 3rd gen 7.5 rear end?

axles are the wrong length. I thought 3rd gens had 26 spline axles. If the torsen is 28, which i think it might be, it wont work unless someone makes 28s axles for your application.

Or sell the 342 torsen rear and buy what you want. That is a desirable rear.

You need to find a set of 90-92 axles & then you can use the Torsen in your existing housing.

Also, your existing gear ratio matters. A 3.23 & up use a different carrier than the 3.08 & below.
