I just bought an 87 2500 4x4, it has a 67 Camaro 327 in it, i have a 406 im going to replace it with this winter but in the meantime im going to run it like it is. The truck starts fine when cold, when it gets up to operating temp and i cut it off it is hard to start. It cranks real easy, actually has a hipo starter on it. New battery, replaced plugs, rotor button, dist cap. It still did it, and one time i cranked for over a minute till it started. So i replaced the card with a new Edelbrock 600 electric choke, and replaced the stock fuel pump. I dont think its a timing issue because it starts easy when cold and goes through the rpm range fine. Could it be a compression issue?
