My good 'ol Walmart Everstart Maxx-24 battery did me proud right up to its very last start.

9 Years, 2 Months - kept on a 3/4-Amp Battery Tender the whole time.

I'm calling that a pretty good run!

Living in Arizona. My batteries last just long enough to not have any warranty left, then they decide to give up. 2 to 3 years tops. I did have an old optima that lasted 6 years.

Love to hear about those batteries in the rest of the US that last forwever, I have to chuckle to myself, simply because all of us living in the land of the Sun (Arizona) Phoeinx area, your batteries are lucky to last 3 to 4 years and that's for the best quality batteries. The heat down here just KILLS your battery, no matter how well you maintain it..
Good for you and the rest go the guys that the batteries lasted for 18 years<-- Really, holy Crap..

I've exchanged 2 Interstates that were brand new and only lasted less than a year. Had decent luck with NAPA. Batteries today are not like they were 15 years ago. Had a new Optima die. Supposedly the best in the universe. I have suppliers come to my door so I do not have the hassle of driving around.

Unfortunately, the Wally World Ever Start batteries (the old Pep Boys Energizer battery was the same too) are no longer made by Johnson Controls and alot of them do not even make the 3 year warranty. I also used to use them exclusively in everything but no more so beware. Johnson Controls was also bought by another battery maker some years ago thus are not the same batteries they once were. Johnson Controls used to make the high end ford factory batteries that would go so long, you would start to get nervous about them when they turned 9 or 10 years old. I do not know who makes theirs now or if they will last that long. EDIT-A company called Clarios has taken over the manufacturing of Johnson Controls batteries so it's not known if they will last as long.
