Thinking about replacing my alternator on my 69 Camaro B/B with a freshly installed Sniper, any suggestions or opinions on which amperage to use or not to use,not running a bunch of electronic gizmos other than A/C ,cooling fan, raidio, and Sniper, appreciate any and all advice.
Thanks.

I have a 130 amp Powermaster, but also have vintage air and a big audio amplifier to power. I had to replace the engine harness so I could run the factory gauge cluster in my console, so ended up getting it wired for a 3 wire internally regulated alternator. As Chevy68 mentioned, the Powermasters are 1 or 3 wire compatible. In my case I did need a CS130 adapter as my original plan was to run an older style 3 wire.

Was looking into which ones would be better for less RFI to the sniper ecu, snipers are so sensitive to rfi, I'm trying not to hurt it's feelings and get as much amperage as possible and keeping rewiring to a minimum.
Seems like a 105 amp might be sufficient with a new red top Optima battery.
Considering the A/C will be used down here even in December, voltage spikes may be an issue to consider.
I also like the idea of having mine rewound stronger, we have a guy that does all the cabs and police cars in the area.
My main issue is preventing efi to the sniper.
I appreciate all the opinions and suggestions so far.

The only time noise will enter into the picture is when a set of relay contacts close/open.
Every time this event happens, there is a spark between the contacts, thus heard as a loud bang/noise.
Install a 17 volt minimum 5 amp Zener diode with the anode to ground limiting the amount of noise transferred to the rest of the electrical system.
It will also save the speakers, too.
Remember, a battery is only a parallel load in the electrical system and it will recharge at its own rate.

I have a Sniper and went with the Powermaster 100 amp. I have electric fan and dual walbro fuel pumps but still see 14.2 volts at the trunk mount battery. Test card said 99 amps at idle and about 115 peak if I recall.

If you are super worried about EMI the CS130 may be the way to go. A bit more work to get it in there though. But like I said I am having no issues with the 12SI.
