I have a mild pump gas 406 with Sportsman cast iron straight plug heads.I use a 150HP shot of nitrous and i also have a MSD timing retard box.I have Autolite #25 spark plugs in the heads now.Are these correct?

There's two type's that I know of so if I'm all wet, somebody, please jump in and tell me!!

Flat end plugs w/ the steel crushable metal gasket and taper seal w/ no gasket so go from there.

Heat range's can vary all over the place so I won't get into that. Much less extended reach and resister types too.........

And fwiw, I always thought Ford Autolite's did me fine, so go figure!!!!!!!!

I will say that if you check out a B&S or Lawnboy lawnmower sparkplug at Walmarts and cut your ground electrode off the same, it will increase spark "density" for lack of a better word which create's a better spark "ball"!

But doing so will shorten your plug's life.

I use Autolite 25's in my SPII heads, but they might be a little hot for nitrous applications.

He's asking wether or not he has the correct heat range spark plug for nitrous use which generally would be at least 1 heat range cooler than a performance plug for a 150 shot and below.
