If it was a factory option color for the Camaro, it would have been available but I don't recall there being a turquoise azure for 69'.

Wow, that COPO RS with the black VT is sweeeettt! That is one of those colors that can look completely different depending on how the light hits it. Neat color! I wonder how many of them are still surviving?

I want to win the lottery so that I can buy a first gen in every factory color ever offered! :thumbsup:

Wow that is one fine shade of blue. Looks great on a 69 Camaro and factory as well. How many were painted that color?

 

According to the CRG link I posted above it was about 2% of production.

 

 

.... and if I understand that properly that was 2% of all production so we can asume not many z-28's that color

 

I have a 69 SS/RS convertible that's Azure Turquoise that I have been restoring forever. It has white standard interior, *********** top and white hockey stripes. I'm sorry I don't have any pics to share. I saw a pic of the car when it was fairly new.... should be purty when I ever get around to finishing it!

 

A friend of mine has an Azure Turquoise rs/Z28 that has been in his family since the early 70's. I don't have any pictures of it on this computer but I believe I do on a flash drive in my office. I'll check tomorrow.

There was an azure turquoise '69 Z28 in my town (Huntsville, AL) about 30 yrs ago, but I lost track of it.. it had black vinyl top, black stripes, and was one of the only Z28's I ever saw on the road that still had the original exh manifolds and smog equipment! around the 1980 timeframe.. I couldn't believe it was still in place..

I remember an Azure Turquoise Z in western PA where I grew up. The owner was a salesman at a local Chevy dealer. I saw his car a local show and asked him about the color and he gave me the paint code. I loved the color and painted my 69 that color back in the mid-80's. Still have the car and am redoing the restoration as a RS Z/28 clone and just had the body repainted in Azure Turquoise with black stripes. One of these days when it is a little further along, I will post a photo or 2. Everyone who sees this color loves it and can't figure out what it is.

My 69 is code 55 azure turquoise, and RSSSFANATIC is correct, this color changes in the light ..looks best in direct sunlight
