I am installing new back-up lights in a 68 rs/ss. The rear panel was all replaced due to Minnesota rust. I have the measurements from some helpful people on this site but I don't understand how they are installed. Is there a plate that goes behind and holds the light assembly in place? Is the rectangular hole drilled all the way through the rear valance? Is the hole just through the outside and then a opening made for the light bulb area? Probably a dumb question but I don't want to wreck the tail pan section. Any help would be appreciated.I just finished reading and searching this site for a few hours and found what I needed.
