LOL, my place looks similar...at least 1 room anyway.

Looks like a 1920ish style radio in the first pic. I 've got one kinda similar that I may try to restore someday.

Stuff the camaro stuff, that old radio....does it still work? do u guys still have AM stations there?
Sry thats got me a bit excited lol...I have a smaller version of that in storage, and still works....orginal big heavy elecromadnetic speaker.....even have spare valves (pre transitors)
On ther tining screen does yours have stations for differennt counyties to?
I rem my grandfather..damn near idential to yours did, and because back then there was now where the wireless traffic there is today we could get alsorts of stange places around the earth.

But single life....got married, got devorced for 10 yrs then goy married, sry no way I would be single again..too much stress.
Yes I have my orginal seats and a few bits and peices like that stored in the bedrooms/office....and also have shelves under the house, and then there is the garage...
And the enclosed sun deck to.

The difference with being married is that u cant have as much inside because there is also the wifes stuff to, sewing machines, her university stuff and of coase all that teacher stuff to.
Which reminds me must ask again if she will sew up the hems of my new jeans.

Yes the radio works, but needs some repairs. It's a vac tube radio, probably needs some/all replaced. It has electric pushbutton tuning - push a button and an electric motor takes over and runs the dial to the presets. That part of it needs help also. The radio was given to me many years ago and was in sad shape cosmetically. I re-did the finish with a "Homer Formby's Kit" which basically just melts the old finish and reapplies it. It's a 1938 model - pretty spendy in its day. http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/rca_812k.html

Lots of AM stations in the US

Ha! I just looked around my place, and I have a set of 186 heads in the bedroom (on wife's side, since I kicked them barefoot one night :clonk:), complete assembled rear drum brakes on the kitchen table, a '69 dash pad on the kitchen counter, and a bunch of PPG paint tins in the bathroom (don't ask!). While Mrs ZLP955 is (evidently) tolerant of my hobby, I'd hate to be forced into "singledom" again, as I'd never be able to find anything again - every time she asks "whats that ____ still doing there?", it reminds me where all my parts are located!

Ah... the single man days... Much to my geek roommates displeasure, I used to rebuild parts in the kitchen. The messiest was the powerglide for my Chevelle.
;)
It's not like we actually USED the kitchen for anything.

I had an old 60's Telefunken until last year. Big console stereo thing with the multi-band radio on one side and the record player (it's a flat round platter that you put black vinyl disks on, for those who've never heard of a record player before).
Only the radio part worked.
I'm kicking myself in the butt because I put it out to the curb when I researched new tubes to repair it. $150 for one tube... and that was the cheaper one! Why didn't I take ALL the tubes out of it before I let the junk pickers smash them all in my front yard?!?! Big dummy...

Ahhhh.... those days of rebuilding engines in the kitchen and nobody to complain about it (except the LL). Good Times.

Love the Deco radios and antique furniture too - I've got 3 of 'em and wish we had room for 3 more + a juke box would be a bonus (course add in a vintage pinball machine and now you're really talkin)

My wife wouldn't allow parts inside but she's still a keeper and she did allow me to build on a huge music lounge for the drumset, countless guitars, bass and gobs of gear, amps & speakers. She's even learned to play the drums pretty good so we have a great time jamming (Blues, Rock, Metal, Spanish Classical, etc, etc). I also get 75% of the magazine rack in the RR for car mags and she gets the rest for Oprah and House Beautiful. And all I have to do is agree for the kitchen to be hers, let her pickout the colors, treat her respectully and compliment her every day. It's really not too bad considering that I'd be a lost sole w/o her.

I've learned that the right partner makes compromising worth it. Took me 2 tries though to get it right - would have traded the 1st for a room full of stinky car parts and been much happier. :beers:

A good friend of mine who is single keeps his motorcycle in his dining room. Another married couple I know keep their (his and hers) Harleys in their sun room. My wife won't let me keep parts for the car or bike in the house. Funny thing is she's always putting HER stuff in MY garage!!!

I've been thinking about all the spare parts I have stashed in the spare room upstairs. I started thinking I should hang the hood over my fireplace. Pretty nice wall ornament don't cha think?
