Hey,

I have a big block and my rad level is the same as yours. I thought it looked low one day, added some fluid, drove it and it puked out the fluid and went right back to that level again.

As for the heat gauge mine runs a couple of ticks below 1/2 (straight up) when rolling. If the car sits running for a while it will creep up to straight up on the gauge but holds there.

I do have a big block rad/shroud and fan.

What do you have for a thermostat?

It's been a couple of years, but I think I have a 160 stat, it could be 180 though, I just don't remember.
