Brass wirebrush after sandblast and epoxy question

I have sandblasted the frame, body and everything. On the frame it's been a while so a little mild surface rust has formed. I was wondering if I took a Brass wire brush on a drill and quickly ran over it would that be enough to possibly screw up a good bite on the metal for the epoxy. I wire brushed a small spot and it cleans it up very quickly but looks a lot shinier after, I am just not sure it will cause problems. I'm moving very quickly but it shines up almost instantly.

Make sure you're not transfering the brass to the steel. If you have a steel wire wheel I would suggest using that.

I could switch to a fine steel wirebrush if transferring the brass would be a problem. What do you think about the final surface it leaves concerning the epoxy?

Personally I would wire brush or scotchbrite it and then hit it with 80grit. As a matter of fact I am doing that exact thing to my car right now. I stripped it about a year ago and it formed some surface rust (go figure).

How mild is the rust? You may be able to use scotch brite and some metal prep solution...

The rust is just minor , flash rust and some surface pits I missed with the
Sandblast. Sounds like a good plan is switch to a steel wire brush for the contours and hit the flat areas with an 80 grit and DA to clean everything up.
