I have a vibration that comes in around 80mph and goes away around 90mph. I have new trans, tires & rims, driveshaft and engine. The vibration was there since I bought the car. This is new in the rear: Eaton posi, Toms K.A. axles, gears and bearings. Who can balance or check the drums?

Speed,
Although its rare, they definitely can be out of balance. See if you can find a shop that has one of the old "on car" wheel balancers. If not, you can take the drums to a balancing shop and have them spin them and see if they are bad. ANyone that can balance a crankshaft should have an arbor for doing flywheels. You can use it to do drums. But ...... it might be cheaper in the long run to just buy new drums.
I did a set of drums for a guy about two years ago. He had problems with a Caddy that none of the tire stores could figure out and the drums were pretty far out of balance. He swears the car has never been that smooth, even when new.

I had trouble with a new set of slotted Cragars.
Couple things 'thru' them off
1/The rear drums (Discs Front) are painted, there was a build up of paint in 1 spot where the cragers touched the drums..cleaned these spots off and improved
2/was how I was aligning the cragers when putting on the wheels. I consulted a specialist alagnment shop....
Mount the wheels
use 5 tapered type wheel nuts, these will center the hub in the slots, knick up not too tight thu.
Remove 1 and replace with the correct wheel nut and knick up, then one by one do the same to the rest.
Problem solved

Vibration in front come thru the steering
Vibration from rear u will feel in the back of the seat
Driveshaft is more general thu different, its more of a harmonic type vibration

Just keep it above 90mph and your problem solved..... :)

I had a similiar problem between 50-60mph. Installed front disc and all is good.
