It's pretty easy to bleed and I am guessing that is your issue. I too have a hydraulic clutch and they are pretty simple - CantRepeat spells it out pretty clearly. There is no evidence the dampness in the boot is coming from your clutch master, could be anything. Clean it up, bleed it and see where you end up. I am assuming it has worked well in the past so something has allowed air into the system which will require removal.
