Camaroman is right...when I open the trunk to a car that I might purchase, it whispers to me. It says "hey Sleepy...this is hell of car; buy me!...or it says...hey Sleepy...you think the trunk is bad, wait 'till you look elsewhere...don't be a sucker!"

The intake/carb replacement. Do it. Get the carb rebuilt first...should run about $100 incl the kit. Have the intake blasted so you make sure it's good hardware (no cracks...especially if it's a EGR version). Buy a Chilton's Camaro manuel and follow the steps. It's fairly easy but it can be screwed up. It could leak vacuum, oil and/or water...which means a do-over. So take your time! You should pick up some top end ponies (10-20 hp?). Good luck!
