Never a V6 in the 1st Gen, except maybe retrofits by owners. The 68 Model had as the standard a straight inline 6 cylinder 230 cu in engine or a 327 cu in 210 hp V8. with a 3 spd, 4 spd or 2 spd Powerglide auto transmission. Optional engines were the straight inline 6 cylinder 250 cu in, a 327 cu in 275 hp V8, a 350 cu in 295 hp V8, a 327 cu in 210 hp V8, a 396 cu in 325 hp V8. Transmissions available were the same 3 as above, except 396 had a turbo hydramatic,

67 models had the same engines & transmission line up.

The 69 had slightly different engines. a single 327 275 ho engine 2 350 one with 255 hp and one with 300 hp. The inline 6s and the BB 396 were the same. Transmissions were the same with the addition of the manually shifted 2 speed Torque Drive transmission as an option on the inline 6 engine.

X2 what Fairfax said the big 6 250 had 250 emblems from the factory. My base car was so equiped when new. FWIW the 68 250, 302 (through March 68 when Z/28 emblems replaced the 302) & 350 for sure all used the same mounting stud pattern. I believe 396 emblems also shared the pattern. The 327 emblems in 68 had a unique pattern due to the 7 downward leg is angled. Emblem on left side of pic is for one side of car, the other three 302 & 250 emblems share common stud and small locator pin locations for other side of car. Having trouble finding my other 250 emblem tonight, but it has identical studs & pin as that first 302 emblem on left. Left and right emblems do not interchange. Emblems have a slight twist to them, more pronounced at the edge nearest the grill.

Before yo go out and buy a set be aware reproduction OER fender engine displacement emblems are perfectly flat and snap in half when trying to draw them into place to match the complex curves of the fender nose, I know this from experience. GM NOS is the way to go as these pics show the proper curve or good used originals so they have a little patina and off white color like they have been on the car. Sometimes the NOS are very bright white & jump out at you. Just throw $40 in the trash before buying perfect fitting NOS emblemsif it makes you feel better, it will save you time. Also don't make the mistake so many do when drilling holes. The factory holes are very far forward not centered above the side marker. If using the D90 or D91 vinylstripes don't drill the holes until stripe is finished. Emblem should be in this tegion, the AIM should have exact locations. To capture the fender emblems properly within stripe the Camaro emblem is not centered on the valence. These are the factory punched holes on this original sheet metal. If you center the Camaro emblem, as I have seen done, the engine fender emblem ends up part in, part out of stripe.

I had the same issue buying my 350 emblems. It took some time but eventually a good used GM turned up for sale.

When I was looking for 68 302 emblems 30 yrs ago nobody had the left ones, but I had 3 and I couldn't find a right one anywhere but a Camaro vendor had one. So it worked out eventually. Stay with it.

Has anyone attempted to apply a little heat to one of these "too flat" repro emblems while applying slight pressure in the direction the curve is needed? I understand it's cheap, porous, pig metal, but it's also soft,...just before it isn't and then breaks. Could get lucky.
