hey i have a 68 camaro new 454 and with the bb frame mounts i have more than enough room for the hei, so i installed it and broke engine in now i saw on another post something about the resistance wire and being used for the points. i bought a new engine and light harness for my car and i cut end off the coil + wires and put a solderless connector on to hook up the Hei, now is this the best way???? i crimped both the reg wire and the resistance wire together in the connector. i have a mini starter and am not using the yellow wire that fed the resistance wire with more juice(i cut it back and taped it. so i would like to know if what i did is correct and will work for a long time or does the hei need a bigger wire for power???? also i just taped up the ground wire for the coil as the hei does not need one, please fill me in, thanks so much for all the help
