Hurst Comp Plus Shifter... lubricate?

I pulled the shifter (which was working fine) off the trans only to find a huge amount of grease grime and sand imbedded in the shifter. I guess it had accumulated there over the years. There was no doubt the sand had to go so I started cleaning with carb cleaner. In order to get all the sand out this left the shifter completely clean and dry. The question is does this shifter need some sort of lube and if so what would be the best to use.

Thanks for the replies guys. I have since emailed the Mr. Gasket "ASK TECH" guys, I'm waiting on a reply. I'll post back the results.

Well here's the response. I'm guessing they're saying it doesn't need any lube but if you use any don't use too much. I thought I'd get a "NO" or "USE PART NO. xxx" Oh well, just goes to show all the answers you really need are here at TC. I think I'll go with a little dry lube.
