Need help finding out if it is an early 67 or late 67

I'm not sure if this is a stupid question, but I don't know how to tell if my car is an early 67 or late 67 build. All I can tell from the T.T. and VIN is that it was built the first week of December, so does that classify it as an early 67? Any help would be awesome, thank you!

Scott, your pics are not making it, but I can tell you, you have a mid-year car. 67 production started in Sept of 66 and went until July 67. So the only December build is 1966 :)

There are some differences from "early" to "late" build 67's. Early had metal seat back vs plastic. Later had the trim plate above the carpet on DS and also the 2 additional holes in trunk lid to accommodate what would be a 68 rear spoiler add on. I am sure experts can site more variances. Neither of these changes happened at the same time but did occur during the build timeframe for 67 model cars

Early build subframe didn't have hole on inboard of front for bumper brackets. Later added the hole for easy access.

Production ran Sept - July, most mid year changes in '67 came around Dec. What concerns from early to late production do you have. Here is what the CRG has documented as mid year changes.
  • Addition of a factory traction bar (radius rod) to most models with 12-bolt rear axle (circa December 1966).
  • Addition of the L35 and L78 396 engines (circa January and March 1967, respectively).
  • Replacement of SS-350 grille emblems with SS emblems.
  • Addition of the Z28 (circa December 1966).
  • SS nose stripe turned into RPO available to all models (except Z28).
  • Frame tie-down holes added to front subframe.

I am trying to figure out the correct deluxe seat belt configuration for my car. The trim tag decodes to the car having deluxe seat belts, but it currently just has the standard. According to CRG, the early 67 builds had the plastic boot on the seat belt, and later 67-69 builds had the retractor. I am looking at finding a set of original deluxe seat belts and wanted to confirm if my car is early or late, it appears to be early.

I'm no expert. But I have seen several references that jan/Feb and before are early cars. Don't quote me on that though

I think changes happened at slightly different times at the 2 plants (Norwood and Van Nuys). I have an 11A VN car with metal seat backs and deluxe seat belts with no retractors. I have an 01C VN car and it has metal seat backs but has the deluxe seat belt retractors.
