This looks like a very helpful forum. God knows I'm going to need some. Happy New Year all

After looking for a few years I found it very difficult to purchase anything in the States

Welcome from Texas! Will be happy to see any pics you might have of your First Gen.
Brett....
Found a rolling chassis 67 that's been sand blasted and will be putting a 427. I know this could get expensive but so to could buying something unseen from a dealer. Exchange, transportations and 12% tax at the Canadian border adds 45% to the price.

Before restorations begin I need to decide if we put a RS look to this 67. I'm told it can be quite costly. Thoughts? this car was originally a small block 3speed auto, soon to be a 427 5 speed manual. there are a number of boxes we haven't sifted through the many boxes and I don't believe there wont be much of the original interior except the steering column.

If you do decide to go RS, I suggest you check out retro-electro.net and consider their application. Would be much cheaper for you in the long run. That way you don't have to source out RS fenders or fabricate them and all of the special relays(board), limit switches and other items. You will need to still get the rest of the grill though. If you go to their site and scroll down on the products page, you will see that the whole kit can be had for between $600 and $1200 dollars US. If you haven't already check out some vendors such as Camaro Central and others (price comparisons) and look at what it would cost to piece it together. RS front view can't be beat in my opinion. Good luck.
