Hey everyone,
I did a motor and tranny swap on my 69 Camaro. I just got the car back home from my brother's shop where we did the work. I went to go for a drive last night and realized one of my headlights (LED plug and play) was out. As I was trying to figure out the issue, I noticed my driver's side headlight was "flickering" with the engine off. I just installed a "one wire" alternator and deleted the plug that went in the other alternator. The charging system is working fine, everything is charging as it should. My question is, did I do something wrong by getting rid of the plug from the voltage regulator? This is a restomod Camaro so I already had a more current alternator but switched to a "one wire". Do I need to add a fusible link for the LED headlights? And yes, my "generator" light is on inside but my volt gauge shows almost 14 volts while driving.
