Generally a Performer is rated at idle-5500 RPM. If you are running it on a little motor like a 283 or 302, would that elevate the RPM range to a degree? In other words would it be good for 6000-6500?

If you are buying the intake and not using one that is available, buy the RPM which is better for higher RPMs. I doubt the performer is going to restrict you from running higher RPMs but your performance will probably fall off quicker in exchange for better midrange torque.

Definitely NO. Go with the Performer RPM.

So the original 302 Intake would actually flow quite a bit better that the original Performer?
Yes tha orig. 302 intake is closer to a Performer RPM.

yes an rpm would make it work in a higher rpm band.
isnt there an "rpm esp" or something like a rpm made for smaller engines?
if there is that may be a good choice for a little motor
