Walking away from a fight is ok. It's not ok to get hit and walked on, at some point you need to defend yourself. Win or lose the outcome is 99% of the time the bully will leave you alone. Most bullies aren't even tough, that's why they act the way they do. This is a perfect example of a typical bully, pick on someone you know (or think) won't fight back.

I never let it slide when I was young, I hated to see people get bullied. I always stepped in. It's always the nice quiet, kids that get picked on, the ones that just want to be left alone. Bullies are cowards.
Exactly my thoughts, bullies are pathetic cowards. That little punk had more coming I think, I honestly wish he had give him a lump or two after he threw him down. Then the kid that stepped in after, he wanted no part of that, wouldn't even walk up to him untill he walked away... nice, tough guy.

I was always small in school but never was bullied, I always played sports and was a wrestler since I could walk, that helped I think.
My dad was a high school teacher and wrestling coach, and tought my brother and I in no uncertain terms we would be in SERIOUS trouble if he ever heard we started a fight or picked on someone. But to always defend ourselves if walking away was not an option.

I was in more fights after school, when I was in my late teens early 20's in my partying days it always seemed some asshat would decide he wanted to fight, and picked the smallest guy in the group (I was still about 5-10 150#) but smaller. I hated fighting and that just pissed me off more, and usually the guy learned fighting wrestlers is not fun.....
I got to the point I avoided parties and such, because win or lose fighting is a joke, I was just defending myself.

I hope those kids learned a lesson, but I wont hold my breath. Either way my guess is Casey wont be bothered again.

Sean can chime in here having a wrestling background, that wasn't exactly text book form it was brute strength.
Lol, exactly Royce. He picked that kid up and slammed him like a ragdoll, you could see the minute he grabbed that kid it was all over. Definately not textbook but just brute strength.
You can see by the way he's built, the other kids maybe see him as a big baby hughey and like Royce points out is probably quiet and non confrontational, but he's a big strong kid and I'll put money on him getting bigger and stronger. The punks that picked on him better hope he doesn't hold a grudge.

Great to see he's just exactly like I expected, a well mannered smart kid that just wanted to be left alone. It's sad though too, pisses me off even more that those POS kids picked on him like that.
I have to wonder what kind of school that is that the bullying and cliques are so pervasive his friends just dump him (nice friends..). I went to a middle school/ junior high that had a bunch of kids that would pick on weaker kids and do that kind of crap, the kind of kids that would pick on special ed kids.
I hated that school, never had any bullying problems myself but I had no desire to be friends with any of those kids. It was as though the entire school bred that attitude. I actually got kicked out for fighting some punk with that kind of attitude, and never went back.
I ended up going to the Junior high/ high school my dad taught and coached, which was the plan anyway so I could wrestle for him it just happened a bit sooner...lol. It was amazing the difference in schools, the school I graduated from of course had issues like this, but they were rare and other kids would have stepped in and beat that little punk down, I guarantee it. It's amazing the difference from one school to another, don't know if it's the neighborhoods or what, but probably.
I can say with 100% honesty I don't give a crap who or how big the kids were, I'd have stepped in to back Casey there. I have no tolerance for that crap and it actually pissed me off watching it again.
Poor kid, but he'll be a better and more successful person when he grows up than any of those kids, I stake money on it.
