i have a numbers matching 67 RS 327/210 2sp powerglide on the column...runs great as is....only belts, tires, etc have been changed from orginal

is there an easy switch of the manifold and carb to give a little more oomff? or do i need to change cam, lifters, etc? want just a quick way of adding from the 2-barrel.

i have read many threads about overhauling these engines...most recommend putting in a crate motor and putting 327 away....i want to keep car as original as possible, but give it a little extra.

i know some will groan, but want to add some headers and flowmasters (i have another thread going for that)....

thx for the advice, chad (new to the game)

If you really want to give a lot more driveability, start by swapping a short tail TH350 in place of the Glide. It's completely bolt in, and having a real first gear makes a huge difference.

Dropping a nice dual plane intake and Q-jet will help a little, but with the small heads and stock 210 HP camshaft, it may not be worth the effort.

a 2101 Edelbrock performer and a rebuilt junkyard q-jet will work really well on that engine.
add an HEI distributor while you're at it.
a quick trip to the boneyard will get you all the bits and pieces to get it all hooked up- any brackets and what not.
get a pump to carb fuel line off a mid 70's truck. you might also need to swap to a fuel pump with a 3/8" outlet if your car doesn't already have that- but that's less than $20 at NAPA.
if you wanna go really stealthy and make it look stock- paint the intake engine color before putting it on.

I had similar situation on my 68, and thought the 327 275 hp upgrade was a good mark to aim for. I ended up with headers, dual exhaust, Edelbrock performer intake, Carter afb 4bb carb, TH-350 transmission, Eaton posi, Petronix ignition upgrade, and World s/r heads with 1.94/1.50. You might consider something like the 350hp 327 Corvette cam. I'm not racing, but I have a nice performance boost. In the future, maybe a Quadrajet. Also, I am keeping the original heads, powerglide, intake, carb, and exhaust manifolds in storage. Now if I can only get the bodywork finished before the summer ends....
