With the car running at idle, my Tach reads 1500 RPMs. If I turn the headlights or radio on, the Tachometer reads 600-700 RPMs, but the engine's RPMs remain unchanged; only the tachometer changes.
I put a spade connector with cable into the Tach connector's ground to a new ground, the same with the brown wire directly to the CD box Tach output. and ran a new pink wire to a key on lug on my fuse box, all this with no changes to the Tach.
Has anyone had this issue and what was your fix
