So happy that I just wanted to share my fix. I have been battling this for to long. Everytime I would wash the car water would end up in the trunk. After close inspection I found it was getting in through the tail light seals. Subsequently found out this is a very common problem for the 67 & 68. Not sure about the 69. Tried a new seal kit and same problem (although better than before). The mating surface is so small (looks like these things were designed to fail on purpose). The solution I found was to use two seals on each side. Glued them together, but did not glue to housing. Bolted em back up and works like a charm. Tighten about half way then push in excess to make flush. Sticks out just a bit, but only visable if you look real close. Small trade off to be certified leak free!!!
The fix for leaky tail lights!!!
