Valve stem seal question

Hello,
I pulled my stock 67 Camaro SS350 engine so I could do a rear main seal and pan gasket and I noticed a little oil on the exhaust valves. I'd like to replace the valve stem seals while I'm at it. I noticed the valve stems only have the deflector o-rings and no umbrella's. Does anyone know if that was the way they came from the factory? I have a set of Fel-pro ss10058 umbrella seals and they fit fine. Should I use both?
Thanks,
Chris

That does make sense but usually on those older heads the guide bosses are too big for those seals to fit over them. I wonder if somebody has machined yours down in the past ? Doesnt matter as long as they work :)

Interesting, from what I can see these umbrella seals Fel-pro SS 10058 have no way to lock onto the head. The heads have not been machined in anyway. I think the locking type is a newer and better seal but I don't plan on having the heads machined.
