Vin 6108xx......on the CRG site I believe it lists the last Feb VIN before mine....am I reading this wrong? can it be narrowed down to an actual day..or beginning of the week, end of the week??

I have records of a 1969 camaro 9N6108XX being delivered to Toronto on March 10, 1969.Usually built 2-3 days before delivery date.Your car may have been built or most likely built on Friday March 07, 1969.That car delivered on March 10,1969 was a Z28....is yours?

ayayay...my car is a Friday car??? That can't be good...everyone was thinking about the weekend...I wonder what bolts or parts got left off my car??? hehehe.......

Seriously though, I'm not sure if that makes sense or not, but the car has a 2D cowl tag date. not that I doubt it, but how do you come up with the 'usually built 2-3 days before delivery date'....?? And was a Camaro "built" in one day?

BTW It is a Z..but not a Z/28

The 02D run of cars was a long one about 10 days thats why you see so many cars.I've had 02D cars running from 9N605XXX right up to 9N613XXX amd thats a long run.You very rarely see a 03A car so they may have run right into the first week of March.I happen to have some Canadian import sheets with 02D cars on them so that helps with delivery times. Some 02D cars were delivered as late as March 13 with DZ 302 with early March build dates on the engine pad.....so 02D cars must had been built into the first week of March.

I just shecked my records and i have a protecto plate and canadian import sheet 9N6082XX and was delivered on March 04 and rear end stamp is 0303BV.Wow only one day rolling off the line to delivery.this verifies 02D cars were built right into the first week of March. So 9N6108XX maybe March 07.Check your rearend date 02D cars have the tightest rear end to shipping dates i've seen when comparing protecto plates to Canadian import sheets.

That's unbelievable. The rear end was built in Detroit on March 03, shipped to Norwood Ohio on the same day and found it way onto a car on that same day and its on a car delivered in Canada on March 04? Don't think that's possible, would take the train longer than a day to travel thru customs and to a rail head in Oshawa.

Thats shipping date not arrival date.Lets say last day on the line was March 03,69 and was shipped March 04,69.Thats what the protecto plate and Canadian import sheet say. From comparing others 02D cars have the tightest rearend dates to the import shipping dates

The pop and gm docs for my 02D z/28 support close dates on engine/rearend components and shipping (date shipped from norwood). I have March 3 dated rearend (monday), March 4 dated engine (tues) and a shipment date of March 6 (Friday). Very interesting. Can anyone give me a fan and carb date for cars in this week.

My fan is a Dec 68 dated fan. My car is 02D, engine 0303DZ, trans B269 and rear BV0306 E. My carb is not original but did put a Dec 68 DZ carb on it though.
