Can anybody put this question to rest? Exactly what is the difference between coupe and convertible rear quarters? One of my quarters has some damage and I want to replace it, but Convertible quarters are next to impossible to find. I know I can cut the sail panel off a coupe quarter, but I would really like to know what other difference there is before I spend the money on the coupe quarter. Any info appreciated.

Just the "roof" line above the upper body line, that's it.

For a 67? The style line up by what would be the rear window panel, and the area that the outer rear window felt attaches to. If your looking for 67 1/4s, you will probably die a very old man before you can scare them up. I also looked, and was able to find 1 and even at that it was 1500. bones and for that find of money, I was able to buy NOS coupe 1/4s and you cant tell.

You will simply spice the panel right over the upper body line, leaving the area that goes up to the top and the quarter window from your converible intact.

Small problem...My car has wreck damage and I need to replace the entire quarter. Is it possible to cut off the sail panel and use a coupe quarter. I'm looking at Classic Industries full quarters.

AutoDR, the coupe and convert qtrs are the same from the top major crease that runs from tail to door down. The contours of the convert from pinchweld and rear deck are different. You have to do some cutting and patching to get it to work, like a 80 percent qtr. Kevin
