I've got a 91 Z28 thats in pieces. I've been planning and planning on how I'm going to build the motor, but finances seem to think otherwise. I'd like to know who's got one and what you've done to it.

Anybody???

Okay, I admit it! I have a 3rd gen Camaro. Right now it is taking up space in the corner of my garage waiting for it's turn to be restored. I bought the ZZ4 conversion kit that Chevrolet put together to replace my LG4 305 engine. The kit came with a new ZZ4 engine and high flow exhaust manifolds with a brand new borla dual cat exhaust. New trailing arms and a corvette servo and shift kit for the 700r4 trans. Also came with a brand new GM dual snorkel air cleaner and duct work. It has all taken a back seat to my 69 Camaro resto and I also have a 71 ElCamino SS-454 in the shop with a frame off. Maybe next year I'll finally get to doing it, until then its gonna sit.

If your putting the orginal motor back into it heres a few cheap things you can do to pep it up a little. I took mine, and gave it:
Headers, flowmaster exhaust, bigger throttle body, jucier cam, performance chip(not sure if it did much), and K&N air. Depending on when you plan on driving it I took off the splash guards inside the air intake to let it get a little more air. If you have the 2.73 rear end (think thats it) it helps alot to upgrade that too.
If your going to get a crate do what I did:
Get the short block and do it your-self if you have the time. Mine has been sitting for about two years now.

have 2 of them, check my sig.

Well when I bought it, it was already running low 13s, but when finances allow it's gonna be a hella faster ;) My original plans were to stroke it and use parts from TPIS such as their mini ram and one of their ZZ series cams. My goal was to run solid 11s all motor and 10s with some juice, then I changed my mind and wanted easy 10s with a ProCharger :D then I changed my mind again, because I can't afford to cough up 6Gs just for a ProCharger, so I'm thinking of building a solid 12 sec car, cause it's gonna be my daily, and try to run at least high 10s on the squeeze.

Hey Teetoe, you have some very nice cars. Congrats

. Which one of all those is the fastest?
