Hello,

I was curious if ther is suppose to be clips at the base of the windshield on a 67 convertible. I replaced the top part of the dash (being it was rusted), also was no windshield in the car when I bought it. The clips would hold the winshield up from sliding down towards the cowl. I have the body assembly manual and fisher body manual but haven't found anything on it, just don't know if there were any there. Any info is much appriciated and Thanks in advance

No clips I am aware of specifically for the windshield. The clips for the lower windshield chrome trim piece may hold it in place vertically. The strip of sealant you use to seal the windshield in place should do the trick.

I believe that what you are refering to are two small rubber blocks. They come with the 3M Windo-Weld Ribbon Sealer. When you go to buy the stuff, if the box has been opened, the blocks may have been removed or just lost, so check.

There should be a page in the "technical reference" section of this site that has a picture of the blocks. (if not, then it's at the Team Chevelle site)

The only clips are on the top and sides to hold youe chrome trim down. There is a setting block on each side to keep your windshield from falling down, and if you use urethane to install your windshield in with and no butyl tape it will be better than new.
