Not that I can afford buying one of these right about now, but I was puzzled when I saw the pics.

First, did any COPO's come with a column shifter? (that looked strange to me)

Second, I noticed that either the mudflaps were removed or the wheel opening moldings are missing since there are bolts left in the driver front fender where they would mount. (very odd)

Just curious what this is really worth or if it's even a real COPO...

The sellers statement 'no more needs to be said' left me wondering why he left out the trans code (CX ?) and whether it has the correct or original BE rear and copo gears.
Column shift makes it different...I dig it

...the bolts are on all camaros in 1969 they hold the inner fender on

Ha ha,,, Yes! You are right. I completely overlooked that. It still seems like those bolt heads are too large or something. Maybe they should have been painted instead of being raw like that...?

The inners were not mounted when the fenders were painted. Bolts were not body colored.

I would have liked more pics but seller states lots more are available.
The 1970-71 dragstrip record-setting 70 Chevelle Vert LS-6 was bench w column shift.
This column shift was pretty common, eliminates "all the weight" of the console and saves a few bucks off the delivery price!!!!

Some owners of the hi po auto trans cars ordered them column shift then an aftermarket ratchet shifter would be installed for racing.

Most of the 427 COPO Yenko 69 Camaro and Chevelles were ordered column shift then a Hurst dual gate shifter was installed by Yenko.

When grandma ordered that car she wanted the column shift so she would have more room for groceries :)

We have a local COPO here in the SF Bay Area that is Burgundy with a column shift.

Ah ha! That makes sense, but I would still paint them on my own car I guess. It would look more finished. That's just me...
