I have done search on this but information was a old thought maybe updated was available. I have no front end on the car now. Ive seen the electrical conversion stuff and seen the "complete kit" stuff. Pros v cons
Is there a kit that has all the parts including elec conversion?? Best prices?? Should I go individual parts or get kit??

Also as far as the sheetmetal is concerned are Goodmark fenders better than others?? I installed other aftermarket fenders on a 68 I had before and had to cut the mounts and reweld to make them fit then the part line at the valance was poor.
Thanks

I was in a similar situation. I ended up picking the front clip off a 67 RS not knowing the differences between 67 and 68.

I ended up having to cut out the holes for the marker lamps. I also ended up going with a 67 factory style system. They make a harness that adapts the 67 electric headlights to the 68 fuse box.

Now, all that being said, if I had to do it again, I would use the DSE kit, which does come with everything you need, and try and find some used GM fenders.

If I knew then what I did now...

I had a problem with not having enough vacuum for my lights to work properly on mine. Swapped out to the DSE electric conversion and have been very happy ever since.

Thanks for the replies.. I looked at the DSE kit, What does the kit replace? The vacuum stuff plus all the bellcranks?? Do you just need to get the headlamp door covers, grill etc
thanks

I used the Retro Electric conversion on my 68. Works great with factory bellcrank headlight doors. Electric motors hook up to factory wiring harness. I had to service a DSE kit in a 69, what I did not like about that one was trying to adjust the hiem joints to get everything aligned up right.
