I totally agree, and could see where it would hit if the wheels were turned during a Dukes of Hazard moment. Still trying to find correct calipers. MP really didn’t have any other suggestions which is a little disappointing. Mo money mo money.

The 3 important things you need to know is mounting pin distance, inlet thread (SAE or metric), and inlet port position. Go to Speedway Motors web site and select the disc brake section. You'll find choices with dimension information. Here's their site with what I believe you need. Verify all as I'm somewhat guessing.

As Don said in post # 20, even with the wheel turned to the bump stop the banjo fitting shouldn't contact anything throughout the entire range of motion.
For arguments sake lets say your turning a tight corner and go into a pothole, or have a faulty shock, or break a spring, if any of these scenario's may put the banjo fitting in harms way. (it's a liability). aftermarket parts = use at your own risk = insurance coverage loophole.
Make sure it's impossible to shear off the caliper hose fitting. Personally, I would like to make MP brakes eat those brake calipers.

Thanks Al for the link and words of wisdom, I found the caliper I want, with the hose mounted on the bottom, way out of the way, it would also make the hose gently swoop towards the steel line instead of twisted up. I bought the kit through Ricks Camaro, maybe they would do something. Any bets?

Glad I was able to help. I would sure try to get Ricks to return the kit. I've had bad with them and had to twist their arm to return an item or 2. Good luck but give it a try. Shop around for those calipers. You may very well be able to buy them locally for reasonable $$. Check with Rockauto also. You can get a %5 TC discount.

I feel I’m on the right track, should be 4039/4040, gonna try a couple of local stores so it won’t be a PIA to return if they don’t work. My research indicates the ones I have are for a big cars (Impala etc) the # are 4043 and 4044. Same type but hose inlet in a different position. Again thank you all for the help.

In continuation, I sent an email to MP asking for an exchange and gave them part numbers, they said they would be happy to. So they’re back on the nice list for now. I probably could have bought calipers for what it cost to ship them, but so far they seem genuine. We’ll see when they get here.
