I installed new stops when installing new coil springs, shocks, balljoints, etc not very long ago. I found this one in driveway yesterday, and checked to find the other one is missing as well. The small end that goes thru hole to hold them in place is still there; just looks like they got smashed & broke off.

This is what they looked like when I installed; and again, the small end is still in the upper arm hole….strange

i think its just the product unless you doing your imitation of the duke boys , lol i had the door stops do the same thing and we bought soft seal ones the came in the weatherstrip kit , all you can do is replace them
No “ye-ha” jumping with my ‘68, in fact not the slightest bump in the road that would compress suspension that much, Lol

I wonder when they got made if they had a bad batch of material and it was just not as compliant as new factory originals ?.

If another set does it from the same company, maybe try a different brand ?.

Just got off phone with NPD, ordered up a new set. Will try to remember to post a follow-up here after these are in for a while. I don’t remember where I got the previous set, but I was able to confirm on call they were not from NPD.

Those are going to be a bit of a bear to install on the car. I suspect they failed when the car was on a a lift or a jack with the suspension fully dropped.

If your ride height is not high you can likely get away without them.

Agreed, it wasn’t too bad to install previous set when coil springs/etc were out & everything was out of the way. My ride height isn’t very tall in front (pic from parking lot at work), so if I can’t install the ones I just ordered “on the car” then I guess I’ll ride & see.
