If you're asking about the cross shaft as Scott said, there's really no way for it to wear out. The bushings don't rotate on the shaft. There are serrations on the end of the bushing inner sleeve that bite into the shaft. The rubber between the inner sleeve and outer shell is what does the flexing when the end bolts with washers are tightened.

Thanks, will paint and move on. Any hints on reassembly with new bushings?
 
I don't know if you have done this job before but here's my instructions. Remove control arm from the car. Remove the bushings from the control arm using an air hammer while clamping the arm in a vise. Be careful not to gouge the shaft. Install the new bushings with the cross shaft using an hydraulic press with proper support so as not to bend or deform the control arm. Install on the car. Tighten the end bolts after the car is on the ground and under weight. That's about it. Use common sense and you'll be fine.
