I could use some help finding correct headers for 68 Camaro with small block and aluminum heads. I have a set for straight plug heads and #3 plug on my new angle plug heads hits headers. Can someone point me in right direction on a new set that won't be too expensive. My car has 383 with patriot performance heads, ps, pb, & vintage air with billit specialties front accessories package. I was a little overwhelmed with amount of choices & part numbers available. I know someone on here has ran into this problem. Thanks for feedback.

I'm not familiar with Patriot heads, but some manufacturers heads conflict with most headers. Call Patriot they should be able to tell you.

If they are a normal style angle plug head I used a set of Hooker Super comps that are spec'd for angle plugs on my 406 (PS, etc). They fit great everywhere but needed a very slight dimple to clear the pitman arm. I have heard they corrected this but it was not bad at all.

Mine where 1 3/4" tubes but depending on your power level 1 5/8" are probably fine, and that will further help fit. As long as the heads are normal it should be easy to find the right set.

I have Dyna tech on mine and they clear everything , # 5 is a little hard to get out but it clears the tube. I have AFR 195's with the angle plugs

I just installed a set of Dougs 368 and fit great. I did have to dimple for the pitman arm. It was close and probably didn't have to but I feel better with a gap. All plugs are easy to get to. I use a 5/8 wrench. look great too.

My hooker super comps fit my angle plug raised port AFR 210s,plug wires are clear of headers, and even though I have a bag of boot protectors they are not required.
BUT the engine is not in the car yet,so I can't comment on fit.
I might test fit in a week or two.

I have this set, it works great and is well made.

I'm running a set of RHS 200cc aluminum angle plug heads with Dynatech headers. The plugs are actually easier to change then my old straight plug heads. The Dynatech are a step tube design and overall a very well built header for a reasonable price.

My Hooker Super Comp #2131,. 1 3/4" tubes on my AFR 210 angle plug heads. Just sitting on an engine run stand.

Hopefully I'll test fit in the car in the next week or so, and address any fitment issues before I put any sheet metal on the front end.
